Age Group 2 Coach / Dry land coach
I have been competitively swimming since I was 4 years old. I continued competitively swimming into Darton College in Albany, GA where I broke many school records and was captain of the team. I continued with college to Kennesaw State University where I started and coached the college club team. I then finished out my college career at the College of Charleston where I received my BS in Physical Education with a concentration in health promotion. I have been coaching since I was 17 years old. I started coaching a neighborhood summer swim team. When I moved to Charleston, SC I then became the Ashley Ridge HS head swim coach for the men's and women's swim team. During my 2 years there I was awarded the Region swim coach of the year and I coached a swimmer to 1st in the state of South Carolina in the 100 yard backstroke.
The Navy brought my husband Ryan and I out to the Pacific Northwest from Atlanta/Charleston. He is a LTJG in the Navy and is currently serving on the USS Michigan. We have really enjoyed all of the outdoor activities that this area has to offer like skiing, hiking, and being on the water.
I am currently ASCA Level 2 certified and First Aid/CPR/AED certifified.
I am very passionate about swimming and I hope to pass my knowledge and passion along to your children.
